Cross-country skiing in the Val Gardena
Not far from our guest Garni Crepaz, in Vallunga, is the "DSV Nordic Activ Park". There are several prepared cross-country tracks of different lengths and difficulties.
If you don’t have your own equipment you can get it at the hire shop, conveniently located at the start of the Vallunga valley.
Snowshoeing in the Val Gardena
If you’d like to be active but at the same time escape the crowds on the piste and appreciate the silence, this is one of the best sports for you – contemplate nature and the untouched, sparkling-white snow.

Tobogganing in the Val Gardena
Great fun of for all the family. There are some fantastic tobogganing slopes in the Val Gardena, for example at Rasciesa, accessible from Ortisei. or on the Alpe di Siusi, the largest alpine pasture in Europa.

Ski touring is very popular with the locals and is definitely worth a try. Like snowshoeing, it allows you to discover numerous natural slopes and snowy valleys, forests and peaks.
