Hiking paradise in the valley of the Alps
The true specialty of Val Gardena is the beautiful nature. If you wander through the forest, you will come across pine, larch and fir trees.
From an altitude of 1800 m above sea level the woods are characterised by Swiss pine, and you can also see lots of different species of animals, for example red deer, roe deer, squirrels, finches, swallows, goldfinches and robins. At higher levels, with a little luck, you can also see ibex and golden eagles.
